Greek and Roman Drama in Translation

Usual Description

Close reading (in translation) of plays by the Greek dramatists Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides and Aristophanes, and the Romans Seneca, Plautus, and Terence, plus selected plays by Shakespeare. Some secondary readings, participation in class discussion and scene work papers, and final exam required.
