Usual Description

An opportunity to consider major currents and counter-currents in English poetry. In addition to love, death and the changing of the seasons, topics will include form, disorder, time, war, dream, intimacy, violence, reparation, alienation, reflection, the senses, and human and non-human life.  British, Pre-1700 OR 1700-1900 (not both).
